Poverty Areas

Maryland Rural - Urban Poverty Areas

The term "urban or rural poverty area" has been defined as a census tract, census county division, or minor civil division, as applicable, in 'which a certain percentage of the residents have incomes below the poverty area (see Federal Register, Vol. 43, No. 19, January 27, 1978.)
