The Program Performance Report

The PPR is submitted to the Administration on Developmental Disabilities by Deveopmental Disabilities Councils around the country is a vehicle to report the results of Council projects, activities, strategies and collaborations, and the condition of state services to people with developmental disabilities and their families.

There are six sections of the PPR:

Section I:  Identification Basic information about the Council
Section II:  Reporting Year State Trends MD tends relative to people with developmental disabilities
Section III:  Status of State Plan Implementation for Reporting Year 
Projects, strategies, and/or activities
Results for the reporting year
Narrative description of Council results
Section IV: Reporting Year Expenditures
Summary of the Council’s annual expenditures
Section V:  Dissemination of Annual Report  
Details of dissemination efforts
Section VI:  Developmental Disabilities Network Collaboration
Report on the issues/barriers affecting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families that the Councils on Developmental Disabilities, Protection & Advocacy Program, and the University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service have jointly identified as critical, and the Council’s role and responsibilities in the collaborative effort.

                                                                                        

The information gathered for the PPR can provide a great deal of insight into the Council.

The PPR shows: 

  • Impact of the Council on the lives of people with developmental disabilities
  • Results of our grants:  are they what we expected?
  • If our implementation methods are the best way to get results
  • Are the organizations we desire applying for grants?
  • Increased awareness of state trends
  • Do Council activities reflect trends in the state?
  • Are Council activities consistent with the Five-Year State Plan?
