Maryland Disabilities Expo

Caring Communities is excited to announce that the World of Possibilities Disabilities Expo is scheduled for May 19-21, 2006 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland.

New to the Expo this year, an extra day has been added to enjoy the exhibits, featuring SUNDAY as "Imagine the Possibilities Autism Day"! Pathfinders for Autism, the sponsoring orgaination will work with Caring Communties to plan this incredible day which will highlight an autism pavilion of support resources, targeted autism-related augmentative communication/assistive technology exhibitors, autism-related workshops and more! All within the existing World of Possibilities Disabilities Expo. Also, the new World of Possibilities Magazine will be launched at the expo.

Features of the World of Possibilities Expo include:

  • Many informative workshops ranging from childrens issues such as parents rights, positive behavioral supports, and inclusion, through adult issues such as housing, transportation, and supported employment and much, much more

  • Strolling entertainers

WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES will also offer informative workshops, demonstrations, and representatives from local and state wide agencies/organizations to assist the disability community in gaining more information about supports, services and resources that they may need now or in the future.

WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES Expos are dedicated to improving the lives of seniors, adults, children, their families and caregivers, as well as health care and education professionals.

The 2006 Expos will be bigger and better! Please join in on the fun!

This will give individuals who do not typically have easy access to comparison shopping a hands-on opportunity to try devices and speak directly to equipment representatives about the products, services and resources.
