The YEA project was a success in providing youth & young adults with leadership skills and community resources. Now that the project has ended the YEA Newsletters and curriculum are available to you on this website.

The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council was awarded a Project of National Significance Grant by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service’s Administration on Developmental Disabilities. The three-year grant established the Youth Empowerment Alliance, an Information, Training, and Resource Center for youth with developmental disabilities. An array of partners, including youth and young adults with disabilities, community organizations, and state agencies worked together to implement the project.
