Rachel leads the Council. She manages the staff and oversees all of the Council’s work. Rachel leads the development of the Council’s State Plan. She makes sure action is taken to reach the Council’s goals included in the State Plan. Rachel represents the Council with Congress, the state legislature, governor’s office, and state agencies. She is the lead advocate on child care, education, housing, and the Developmental Disabilities Administration.

Stephanie serves in a primary leadership role with the Executive Director in directing and managing the Council’s programs and functions. She leads policy work, stakeholder engagement, communications, and grant management and reporting. Stephanie also represents the Council on statewide committees, workgroups and commissions. She is the lead advocate on family support issues, employment, leadership development, recreation, and self-advocacy. Stephanie also oversees the Council’s grant activities. She provides support to grantees to help them be successful.

Chris develops, improves, and expands accessible communication for the Council. He works with a lot of different people. For example, he engages with people with developmental disabilities, their families, and other community partners that further the Council’s mission.

Shawan provides overall office management and administrative support, including assisting the deputy director with fiscal duties. She serves as the main point of contact for inquiries, responding to requests for information, referrals, and Council publications. She also coordinates meeting logistics and Council member support.
