National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). NDEAM celebrates workers with disabilities.

This year’s NDEAM theme is “Access to Good Jobs for All.” It highlights that people with disabilities want the same job opportunities as their peers without disabilities.

Some of our Council members are excited to share their thoughts about NDEAM and the importance of “Access to Good Jobs for All.” Their stories will be linked below throughout October.

In our first video, Jarred talks about why it is important for people with and without disabilities to work together.

In our second video, Marcus talks about the importance of “Access to Good Jobs for All” and fair wages.

In our third video, Meghan talks about working as part of a team, and what to expect from yourself and your co-workers.

In our final video, Richard talks about what “Access to Good Jobs For All” means to him. He talks about how employment leads to other opportunities for people with disabilities.
